We are currently seeking a committed, energetic and experienced individual to be our next Director of Management Information Services (MIS). 

The Director of Information Systems is responsible for all agency computers, networks and telecommunications. The incumbent in this position provides software, network, and database support and troubleshooting in a networked microcomputer environment; provides support on a wide range of approved software and database applications; proactively acts on behalf of the organization to align agency needs with IT services and solutions; promotes the use of technology to improve organizational performance; promotes the use of technology to support and improve the delivery of agency services; and, presents and communicates IT strategies and polices across all levels of the organization, including the Board of Directors. Communicates effectively with key employees to ensure all MIS related projects and product roll-outs are delivered in a manner which avoids the disruption of work processes for organizational employees, and is accompanied by any necessary supports and capacity-building to allow employees to function as efficiently as possible within the MIS environment.  Current Projects: Website redevelopment contract management; equipment replacement strategic planning; data security planning, management of needs at our 56-acre campus as well as 16 remote locations....more!

This position is responsible for the management of all MIS-related contracts and management and oversight of all infrastructure and migration projects. The MIS Director is responsible for the organizational IT budget, making recommendations for the most productive use of funds as well as ensuring organizational funds are expended as projected. The MIS director hires, supervises and develops the organizational MIS staff.

Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or a related field; plus min. 5 years of experience in the management of MIS functions, including: Windows server administration, security and troubleshooting; LAN networking/telecommunication, project management, budget oversight and development; database management; minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion, and must be able to work collaboratively in a culturally diverse working environment, with individuals from a variety of disciplines and varying degrees of technical experience. All organizational employees must pass a rigorous background checking process and are held to the highest standards of conduct.
